What does a dehumidifier do?
Dehumidifiers are important to indoor air quality, especially in musty places like basements. The compressor pulls excess moisture out of the air, which, left untreated, will produce mold and mustiness - a bad combination for allergy and asthma sufferers. Dehumidifiers should be compared on their pints/hour performance and tray capacity (if drain hose is not used).
