What is an Air Washer?
An air washer can be described as a compact hybrid between
an air purifier and humidifier. Air is drawn into the unit and airborne particles adhere to an array of discs that rotate through a water-filled base. Air washers are not able
to remove odors or the tiniest of particles the way a HEPA/carbon-based can, but they do remove larger particles like dust, pollen, and spores. Evaporative humidification is self-regulating,
so your indoor air holds only the amount of moisture it needs. Air washers are a low-maintenance, hygienic choice for cleaning and humidifying your indoor air without the added expense
of replacement filters.

Air Purifiers
How do Air Purifiers differ from Air Washers?
Our HEPA filter-based air purifiers are able to circulate
more air per hour and remove smaller particles than an air washer, making it the best choice for allergy or asthma sufferers. Additionally, an activated carbon filter removes harmful
and unpleasant odors such as VOC's, tobacco smoke, formaldehyde, and cooking odors. The HEPA filters should be replaced once per year and the active carbon filter should be replaced
every six months. Though they are the best performing, some customers prefer to avoid the ongoing cost of replacing filters and opt for an air washer instead.
